Veer Lavingia, of Elmhurst, tells us this photo was taken recently at sunset on the Prairie Path Main Stem. "This photo captures a quiet, beautiful moment in Elmhurst at dusk," Lavingia said. "The vintage-style street lamp stands in silhouette against the fading sky, its warm amber glow contrasting sharply with the cool blues above while blending seamlessly into the soft pinks and oranges near the horizon."

Ann-Marie Aiello, of Wilmington, got this great shot and said, "say hello to my little friend."

Rachel Real, of Hampshire, photographed this squirrel that had just raided her bird feeder and needed a rest.
