Storm Risk, Fall Temperatures Hit Chicago Area
There is a limited thunderstorm risk on Friday, and isolated storms are possible in the afternoon.

ILLINOIS — It seems like fall has officially arrived, with temperatures in the 50s expected this weekend and through the start of the work week.
Weather will be mostly dry, although some scattered showers are expected Friday afternoon, and a few lake effect showers are possible Saturday, the weather service said.
There is a limited thunderstorm risk on Friday, and isolated storms are possible. No severe weather is expected.

"Highs each afternoon will only top out in the 50s with lows in the 30s to lower 40s, though breezy northwest winds [Friday] and Saturday will make things cooler," the weather service said on Facebook.
The high for Friday is 64, 57 on Saturday, 59 on Sunday and 57 on Monday.

Temps in the upper 50s and low 60s also look to continue later in the week as well, with the possibility of rain later in the week, according to the weather service.
