IL Mass Shooting Injures 6, Including 2 ISU Students: Police
The Illinois State University Police Department confirmed two of the victims were students at the school.
NORMAL, IL — Six people — including two Illinois State University students — were injured in a mass shooting early Sunday in Normal, according to police.
Officers responded around 2:40 a.m. to a report of multiple shots fired in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue, police said. The area is less than a mile from campus.
Officers arrived to find multiple people outside with gunshot wounds, according to police, who said six victims were identified, none of whom suffered life-threatening injuries. The victims include two boys who are minors, two men and two women, police said.

“Based on the preliminary investigation, this incident appears to be isolated,” the Normal Police Department said in a news release, adding no one had been arrested as of Sunday morning.
