Illinois Man Dies In Fall At Mount Rushmore
The 58-year-old was found dead Friday near the national monument.

KEYSTONE, S.D. — Police have released the name of an Illinois man they say died in an apparent fall near Mount Rushmore last week. The Pennington County Sheriff's Office said 58-year-old Anthony Rashid was found Friday at the base of a cliff.
The cause of death appears to be multiple blunt force trauma due to an accidental fall, police said. (Get Patched In: Subscribe to free daily email, news alerts, Facebook fun and more from Patch)
Police did not give a hometown for Rashid. An obituary said Rashid was from Kewanee, Illinois.

Police said Rashid's body was found at around 11 a.m. Friday within the boundaries of Mount Rushmore National Monument. Police from the National Parks Service and Pennington County Sheriff's Office responded to the monument after receiving a report of a deceased male at the base of a rock cliff.
The sheriff's office said it was investigating the death with the assistance of the FBI.
