July 4th Illinois Weather: Temps Near 90, Storms Possible

Temperatures will be near 90 degrees for most of the holiday weekend, with a high of 90 on Friday, a high of 86 on Saturday, 88 on Sunday and 90 on Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

On Friday, there is a 50 percent chance of storms during the day, and Friday night will be partly cloudy, the weather service said.

Saturday looks to be mostly sunny, and there is a slight chance of showers and storms late Saturday into Sunday. Sunday will be mostly dry, with a storm or two possible after 1 p.m., the weather service said.
Sunday evening will be partly cloudy, according to the weather service forecast.

Accuweather is also calling for some storms in the area Monday evening through Tuesday afternoon, and some storms could be severe.
The weather service said there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 p.m. Monday.
