Rain, Snow Expected All Week For Chicago Area

The highest potential for more widespread rain or snow is on Thursday and Thursday night, the weather service said.

ILLINOIS — Temperatures will a bit above normal this week, as rain is possible in the evening almost every day, according to the National Weather Service.

A "more active pattern" is in the forecast for this week, the weather service said on its Twitter. There is a chance of rain on Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, all day Thursday and Friday during the day.

The high for Monday will be 43 degrees, and rain could begin late in the afternoon, according to the weather service. Tuesday has a high of 45, and again rain could be in the late afternoon.

Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high of 48, and rain and/or snow is possible late Wednesday, the weather service said.

Thursday and Thursday night will have the highest potential for more widespread rain or snow, the weather service said on its Twitter. Thursday will have a high of 44.

AccuWeather called for "bit of snow and rain at times" on Thursday night. The private forecaster gave a prediction of .09 inches of rain, and .1 inch of snow, with a 72 percent chance of precipitation.

Finally, Friday will have a high of 41 degrees, and rain and/or snow is possible in the morning.
