Snow, Minor Accumulations Possible This Weekend For Chicago Area
The snow could cause slippery conditions on Sunday morning.
ILLINOIS — Light snow could bring minor accumulations to the Chicago area this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
First, dry weather will kick off the weekend on Friday, and a high of 38 degrees is expected. The weather service said "a seasonably cold air mass" will settle across the Chicago area this weekend.

The air mass will keep temperatures in the 30s, with a high of 39 on Saturday and a high of 36 on Sunday, according to the weather service.
Light snow is possible late Saturday into Sunday, and could bring some minor accumulation. Since temperatures will be below freezing before and during the snow, it could cause slippery conditions on Sunday morning, the weather service said.

It will be blustery on Sunday and Monday, with winds up to 15 mph on Sunday. Cold temperatures will continue into the start of the work week, with a high of 28 on Monday, 34 on Tuesday and 37 on Wednesday, according to the weather service forecast.
