Massive Tesla Warehouse Coming To Illinois: Report
Plans are underway to improve part inventory and increase the number of repair technicians at the company, according to one report.

PONTOON BEACH, IL — Tesla will open a more than 650,000-square-foot warehouse in southern Illinois near St. Louis, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
The warehouse will be located at the Gateway TradePort industrial park in Pontoon Beach, southwest of the interchange of interstates 270 and 255, the Post-Dispatch reported, noting Tesla has a dealership in Chesterfield, Missouri, with another planned for St. Louis County.
Tesla is working to strengthen its service in North America, aiming to reach a point where two-thirds of appointments are same-day repairs, transportation website Electrek reported in June. CEO Elon Musk believes most repairs can be same-day if the parts are available, according to Electrek, which reported that Musk said plans were underway at Tesla to improve part inventory and increase the number of repair technicians.
