Memorial Day Field Masses Return To Chicago-Area Catholic Cemeteries

CHICAGO — For the first time in two years, Memorial Day field Masses will be held in person at Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Cemeteries across the region on Monday, May 30. Active military and veterans will be asked to come forward for a special blessing followed by the playing of Taps.

The annual Memorial Day remembrance was established by the Catholic Cemetery Conference to honor the men and women of the armed forces who died while serving, as well as active military and veterans.
