Erica Lemon sent us this sunset photo at Four Rivers Environmental Center in Channahon.
Marianne Myrick took this photo of a turtle at the Morton Arboretum. She tells us, "it is unusual to see a turtle on the rocks below the spillway at Lake Marmo. It fell into the stream and disappeared."

Laura Hutton photographed this Great Horned owl in north Naperville. "We are fortunate to have had several GHOs in our neighborhood over the past several years. All the neighbors enjoy hearing them and, on occasion, seeing them. They are great at blending into the trees," Hutton tells Patch.
