Messy Morning Commute Possible As Snow Hits Chicago Area
Light accumulation is possible Thursday, and some travel impacts are possible, the weather service said.
ILLINOIS — "Several light precipitation chances" are possible through Thursday, as minor accumulation could slow down the Thursday morning commute, according to the National Weather Service.
Scattered light rain and snow showers are possible Wednesday afternoon and night, as temperatures in the 30s are expected.

Some flurries or patchy freezing drizzle will be possible Wednesday night, and some slick spots on roads are possible, according to the weather service.

Thursday will have a high of 34, with some occasional light snow. According to the weather service, a "coating" of accumulation is possible, with some travel impacts.
AccuWeather gave a forecast of "a coating to an inch of snow" on Thursday. The private forecaster gave a 72 percent probability for a coating to an inch, and a 24 percent chance for little to no accumulation.

Friday will close out the week with a high of 36 degrees, and it will be partly cloudy and dry, according to the weather service.
