Snow, Colder Temps To Return After Mild Monday In IL

A high of 67 degrees is expected on Monday.

ILLINOIS — The work week will start off quite mild, with highs approaching 70 degrees, but the rest of the week will be "seasonably cool," according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered showers are expected Monday, and a thunderstorm is even possible, according to the weather service forecast. Monday will be the warmest day this week, with a high of 67 degrees.

Temperatures will cool starting Tuesday, which has a high of 44. Tuesday should be partly sunny, with no precipitation expected, according to the weather service.

Wednesday will also be dry, with a high of 44 degrees.

Thursday and Friday both have expected highs of 45 degrees, and snow will move back into the area to end the week. The weather service said there is a chance of rain during the day Thursday, with rain or snow likely on Thursday night.

Rain or snow will continue into Friday, and end Friday night, according to the weather service.

AccuWeather said Friday will be "cloudy and breezy with a bit of snow and rain at times." The private forecaster gave a prediction of .09 inches of precipitation for the Joliet area.
