Mostly Sunny, Dry Week Ahead For Chicago Area

The next chance of rain is on Thursday.

ILLINOIS — After rain this weekend, most of the work week looks to be dry and sunny, according to the National Weather Service forecast.

Monday will start the week off with a high of 80 degrees, and the next chance of rain isn't until Thursday. The weather service said seasonable temperatures in the upper 70s and lower 80s is forecast through the middle of the week.

Tuesday has a high of 82, Wednesday a high of 83, Thursday a high of 81 and Friday a high of 79.

Rain is possible on Thursday, with a chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon.

AccuWeather also called for a chance of storms on Thursday, with a 24 percent probability of storms and a prediction of an hour of rain, or .08 inches.

The week will end with sunny weather on Friday, and the weekend looks to be mostly sunny as well right now, according to the weather service forecast.
