I am so grateful for the wonderful memories of all the time we spent together going to concerts, staying up til sunrise talking, and the cherished albeit short time you were able to spend with each of your precious grandbabies. We miss you everyday! We will continue to keep your memory alive and make sure your grandbabies know how much you loved & adored them all! We love you, always & forever!" — Alicia John

For Winnie Davis of Northbrook

via Colin Davis

"My mom, Winnie, is the best mom ever. I remember when I would stay up for nights on end to get the new generation Xbox. I drove to dozens of stores but couldn’t find one. I would have given up if not for my mom, who drove to a store an hour away to a Target on a school day to get a console for me. I am so grateful that she finds a way to make me happy every single day. Thanks, mom!" — Colin Davis

For Christine Gruben

"Mom, you are an intelligent, beautiful, successful mother. You are like a button, you hold everything together. We really enjoy how creative you are in teaching us new things, you make learning so much fun. We can see why you are the best teacher on this planet.

We know sometimes we don’t listen, so thank you for always be patient with us! We are very lucky to call you Mom. We appreciate you and aspire to live and love like you one day.
Thanks for giving us the best things in life: Your love, your care, your good looks, and your cooking. We wish you a wonderful Mother’s Day! We love you through and through… yesterday, today, and tomorrow, too." — Grayson and Emersyn Gruben

For Emily Haynes of Oak Forest

via Michelle Haynes

"Our Mom was the BEST!!!! During her short 89 years of life, anyone who met her loved her. Mom enjoyed being with her family and extended family, traveling, going to garage sales, flea markets, going to the casino. She was a 'Grandma figure' to many kids and she spoiled them and enjoyed life in general. When we first moved to Oak Forest (in the '70s) she would laugh because people didn’t know what to make of this lady hanging clothes outside on a warm day, cutting grass and in the winter shoveling snow; as she would say that is what “city people did”, especially when the Dad’s worked. Mom was as beautiful inside as she was outside. Mom and our Dad are now dancing together forever." — Michelle Haynes

For Emma Logan Harmon of Evanston

via Cheryl Logan Brown

"My loving mother, Emma Logan Harmon, passed away on April 7, 2022. My siblings and I, andall of our family members, sorely miss her. Our lives are forever changed due to her absence. She was a kind, loving and giving person. Upon her passing, many people in the Evanston community shared stories with us about her kindness that we had never heard. The one that has stuck with all of us, was the woman who told us that one of her relatives could not pay her gas bill many years ago. Somehow my mother heard about the situation and paid the bill, which was over $900. As a single mom with five children, I don’t know where she found the resources to do this, but God made a way, and she was able to bless this other family. We are thankful that her spirit lives in each of us." — Cheryl Logan Brown

For Inge Jovanovich and Lucille Cerra

via Maryann Gates

"On the left is my grandma Inge Jovanovich, who turned 93 in February. On the right is my grandma Lucille Cerra, she turned 100 last August. I am so blessed to still have these ladies in my life. I love them both very much!" — Maryann Gates

For Kathy Humfleet of Romeoville

"Thank you Mom for your Love and Support, and for helping to shape me into the woman and mother I am today. You are so greatly appreciated and I don't know what I would do without you!" — Kris Kalal
