Joe Kloptowsky, of Tinley Park, grabbed his camera and got this great shot of a few backyard squirrels on the deck.

Sue Leston recently ran the Plainfield Harvest 5K with her granddaughter, Payton, 10. "It was so much fun and the race was very well organized," she tells Patch. "We hope to run it again next year."

Janet Alikpala, of Downers Grove, submitted this photo of her dog, Louie, hiding out before dinner time. "He's definitely pretty hungry," Alikpala said. "People can follow him on Instagram too at @kinglouiefloofs."
