Storms, 'Soaking Rain,' Colder Weather Move Into Chicago Area
A cold front will move in Monday evening, bringing soaking rain and several waves of showers through Tuesday night.
ILLINOIS — After several days of warm, unseasonable temperatures, Monday was also expected to have a high near 80 degrees before temperatures cool once more.
Monday has a high of 77 degrees, with gusts up to 35 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a limited fire weather risk on Monday due to the wind gusts, the weather service said. Residents should be cautious with burning materials.

Temperatures will fall into the 40s on Tuesday night, and rain will end early Wednesday, according to the weather service.

The high for Wednesday is 58, followed by a high of 57 degrees on Thursday. Both days will be sunny and dry, according to the weather service forecast.
AccuWeather said it will be "windy in the morning with a passing shower" on Wednesday, and Thursday will have "plenty of sun."
The end of the week will bring a high of 57 degrees again on Friday, and it should be partly sunny as we head into the weekend again.
