Rain Possible Throughout Week, Temps Warming Up In Chicago Area
The Chicago area will see temperatures back in the 60s by Thursday and Friday.
ILLINOIS — After an unseasonably cold weekend, temperatures will slowly start to warm again this week, reaching the mid-60s by Friday.
The week will be mostly dry, but there are chances of rain on Monday night into Tuesday, and on Friday into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday will be a bit warmer than the last two days, with a high of 56 degrees expected. It will be cooler near the lake, and should remain dry during the day, according to the weather service.

Tuesday will have a high of 57, but there is a chance of rain during the day. There is also a chance of frost on Tuesday night, as lows dip below 30 degrees, according to the weather service.
Wednesday will be dry, with a high of 58, and Thursday will finally reach the 60s, with a high of 65 expected. Friday will be the warmest day of the week, with a high of 67 degrees expected, according to the weather service.

AccuWeather gave a high of 66 for Joliet on Friday, and only a 25 percent probability of precipitation. The private forecaster said Friday will be cloudy with winds at 17 mph.
There is a chance of rain to end the work week on Friday night.
