Rain, Storms Possible Before Temps Hit 80s Again In Chicago Area

Weather should dry out and warm up after Tuesday.

ILLINOIS — The beginning of the work week will start off slightly cooler before temperatures return to the 80s for most of the week, according to the National Weather Service.

Monday has a high of 73 degrees, and will be "dry and relatively cool," the weather service said.

Rain is expected late Monday through Tuesday morning, mainly between 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tuesday. There is also a chance of rain or storms into Tuesday night, especially north of Interstate 80.

Rain amounts between 1/10 and 1/4 of an inch are possible with rain on Tuesday, the weather service said.

Weather will dry out and temps will start to warm after Tuesday. Highs for the rest of the week are 83 on Wednesday, 83 on Thursday and 83 on Friday, according to the weather service.

Temps look to stay warmer for the upcoming weekend as well, with a high of 80 on Saturday and a high of 77 on Sunday. There is a chance of showers on Sunday, according to the current forecast.
