Rainy Start To Week, Before Temps Warm To 70s In Illinois
Temps will finally start to warm on Wednesday, which has a high of 62 degrees.
ILLINOIS — Two more days of chilly, rainy weather are expected, before temperatures begin to warm into the 70s, according to the National Weather Service.
Monday will have a high of 53, and a rain/snow mix is expected in the morning, the weather service said. Wind gusts of up to 45 mph are also expected, especially near and west of Interstate 39.
Once this weather system moves out of the area on Monday night, Tuesday will be slightly warmer with a high of 56, and drier, although a few afternoon showers are possible, the weather service said.

Temps will continue to increase on Thursday and Friday, which have highs of 70 degrees.

So far, the weather for this weekend also looks to stay warm and mostly sunny. AccuWeather gave a high of 68 on Saturday and 74 on Sunday for Joliet. The private forecaster said Saturday will be "partly sunny" and gave only an 8 percent probability of precipitation.
