ILLINOIS — Rain is possible throughout the weekend, and even a chance for a few storms on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.
Saturday has a high of 66 degrees, and a cold front moving through the area will bring rain and a chance of storms, the weather service said.
A thunderstorm is possible before 4 p.m., according to the weather service forecast. Winds will increase in the afternoon, and could gust as high as 30 mph.

Sunday will be even colder with a high of 53 degrees, and rain and possibly graupel, also known as soft hail, is expected.

AccuWeather said Sunday will be "mostly cloudy, breezy and chilly" in Joliet. The private forecaster said wind gusts could be up to 24 mph, and there is a 60 percent probability of precipitation.

Cooler temperatures will also stick around for the start of the work week. There is a high of 50 on Monday, and a high of 59 on Tuesday, according to the weather service.
The rainy weather pattern is also expected to continue on both Monday and Tuesday.
