Another Round Of Storms Possible Tuesday Afternoon, Evening

Storms are expected between 3 and 8 p.m. Tuesday.

After morning storms on Tuesday, another round of rain and storms is expected during the afternoon and evening. A few storms could be severe with damaging winds and hail, the National Weather Service said.

A previously issued severe thunderstorm watch has been canceled as the threat of severe weather has "diminished for the time being," the weather service said on its Facebook page.

Storms are expected between 3 and 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the earliest storms starting near the Illinois-Wisconsin state line. The strongest storms could bring lightning strikes, downpours, strong winds and hail, the weather service said.
