Lynn Wesley, of Tinley Park, captured this photograph of a "proud mother" and her cygnets, who had been born less than 24 hours before it was taken.

Deb Garcia, of Bolingbrook, tells us this year this Mom had just one baby, and it is thriving, and will soon be out of that nest. "Every season she is such a good Mom, and Dad is also always close by and providing. I did not spot him today, but his family looks well-fed," she said.
