Sue Coen, of Deerfield, tells us she was early for a morning appointment at Glenbrook Hospital when she photographed these American flags flying and reflecting on the windows. "It was absolutely wonderful watching our country's flag flying in the breeze in many different locations along my drive that early morning," Coen said of this tribute to Veterans Day.

Lukas Davi called this one "A Serene Pond in the Forest," taken at the Waterfall Glen nature preserve/trail in Lemont.

Linda Bilecki, of Crest Hill, says "Snowy the Squirrel" has been coming to her house for a couple of years for peanuts and pumpkin. "She got her name from her white tummy," Bilecki tells us.

Kathy Marshall captured this image of the Beaver Moon at Dassenbrook Stable in Maple Park.

Harold Aardsma saw this "little one" at Wolfe Wildlife Park in Oak Lawn. He said someone standing by him on the trail while he took the photo remarked, "I never thought about an opossum as being cute."

Regina Belt-Daniels, of Crystal Lake, said she was trying to capture autumn when she took this great shot.

Lynn Wesley, of Tinley Park, called this eagle "so majestic."

Jennifer Weidner, of Elmhurst, sent in this photograph she took while picking apples with her husband at Ski Hi farm outside of Devil's Lake State Park.
