Storms Sunday; Warmer, Humid Weather Returns To Illinois

Storms are possible Sunday afternoon, as well as Sunday night.

ILLINOIS — Warmer, more humid weather returns this week, as well as a chance of showers and storms, according to the National Weather Service.

Saturday will be dry and sunny with a high of 84, while Sunday will be warmer with a high of 88 degrees and a chance of storms, according to the weather service forecast.

The weather service said there is a 40 percent chance of storms after 1 p.m. Sunday, and showers are also likely on Sunday night.

AccuWeather said an afternoon thunderstorm in parts of the area is possible on Sunday. AccuWeather called for a 25 percent chance of storms on Sunday, and a 48 percent chance on Sunday night.

Storm chances continue on Monday, which will have a high of 85 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Tuesday looks to be mostly sunny with a high of 83.
