Rain Chances, But Temps Warm To 60s For Chicago Area Weekend

ILLINOIS — After a few chilly days, including a snowy end to October, temperatures will warm up for the end of the work week and into the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
The snow on Halloween "was enough to make this past October the 10th snowiest October on record in Chicago," the weather service said. The average temperature this October in Chicago was 57.1 degrees, which was 3.1 degrees above normal.
For this weekend's forecast, Friday will be breezy, with gusts up to 30 mph on Friday, and a high of 57 degrees. While Friday will be dry, the weather service said there are intermittent chances for rain over the weekend.
