'Unseasonably' Warm Weekend Expected For Chicago Area
October arrives on Sunday, but warm temps in the 80s are expected through the start of the work week.

ILLINOIS — This weekend may bring in the start of October, but temps will be in the upper 70s to mid-80s through the weekend and into the work week, according to the National Weather Service.
Warm, drier conditions are expected through early next week.
Friday started off cool and foggy, but the rest of the day "will feature decreasing clouds and mild temperatures," the weather service said. Friday will have a high of 78 degrees.

"A quiet, dry, and unseasonably warm pattern will then set up for the weekend through early next work week," the weather service said.
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 70s to mid-80s for inland areas through Tuesday, the weather service said. Saturday will have a high of 81, Sunday a high of 81, Monday a high of 80, and Tuesday a high of 82 degrees.

The weather service said the next chance of rain will occur mid-week.
