Woman Stabbed To Death At Suburban Home

A man was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman inside a home, officials said. Several other people were also at the home at the time of the incident.

3 Jump From Burning House To Escape Flames

Firefighters who arrived at the house fire on Sunday found heavy smoke coming from the home, and three residents who needed medical attention after jumping from the house to escape the flames.

Brothers, Ages 16 and 11, Killed In Crash; 2 Men Critically Injured

Officials say the boys were killed when a car crashed into a tree and burst into flames. Two 20-year-old men were also seriously hurt.

1 Dead, 8 Injured After High-Speed Police Chase, Crash: Police

The Wisconsin man was fleeing police in a stolen Lexus when he collided with a GMC Yukon in Illinois, police said. The fleeing driver died, and multiple other people, including children, were hurt. Police said the driver continued fleeing at a high rate of speed even after they used a tire-deflating device to puncture one of his tires. He was also suspected in several area burglaries and had an arrest warrant on an unrelated case.

State police said a woman was fatally hit while standing outside her vehicle on I-80 near I-55.

Body Matching Missing Swimmer's Description Found In Lake Michigan: Officials

A body potentially matching the description of a 41-year-old man who disappeared while swimming last weekend has been recovered after being spotted by a fishing charter, Evanston officials said Saturday. The man had been missing nearly a week.
