Couple Killed, Son’s Friend Charged With Murder
A husband and wife were found dead inside a home in the 600 block of Red Coach Lane in Algonquin on Sunday evening.

ALGONQUIN, IL — A 39-year-old Algonquin woman has been arrested after a husband and wife were found dead Sunday night inside their home in Algonquin, authorities said. Arin M. Fox has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder and two counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, as well as aggravated battery and domestic battery charges, in connection with the deaths.
Police found Noreen S. Gilard, 69, and Leonard J. Gilard, 73, dead inside their home in the 600 block of Red Coach Lane in Algonquin at about 6:40 p.m. after being called to the residence to conduct a well-being check.

They both suffered "apparent fatal wounds," and an autopsy has been scheduled. Authorities did not elaborate on how they were killed or what type of weapon may have been used.
Fox was living at the home with the couple but isn't related to them, Algonquin Deputy Chief Ryan Markham told Patch in an email response. Authorities believe Fox was a friend or girlfriend of the couple's son.

"It has been determined that the son was not involved in this incident," Markham said. "The matter is still under investigation, and I do not have any information regarding what led to the incident at this time."
Fox fled to Colorado following the killings and has been arrested there, police said Monday. She is being detained at the Douglas County Detention Center and is awaiting extradition.
The McHenry County Major Investigation Assistance Team is assisting with the investigation into the killings.
