1 Dead After Truck Crashes Into Retention Pond In Huntley
The collision happened early Tuesday on Charles Sass Parkway in Huntley.
HUNTLEY, IL — A driver was killed after a car crashed into a retention pond in Huntley early Tuesday.
The collision happened at about 5:40 a.m. Tuesday when a 2007 GMC pickup truck headed west on Charles Sass Parkway went off the roadway, hit a light pole and rolled over before coming to a stop in a retention pond, according to a news release from the Huntley Police Department.
The sole occupant of the GMC was ejected from the truck and was found dead near the water, according to police.

The driver’s identity is not currently being released. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
