1 Seriously Injured In I-90 Shooting
An Elgin man was seriously injured in the shooting on I-90 near Hoffman Estates early Sunday.
HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL — Authorities are asking for the public's help as they investigate a shooting that happened along Interstate 90 near Hoffman Estates early Sunday.
Preliminary reports show the shots fired came from a vehicle headed west on I-90 near Beverly Roa at about 4:10 a.m. The driver, a 25-year-old Elgin man, was hit several times by the gunfire and taken to an area hospital in serious condition, according to a news release from the Illinois State Police.
The passenger, a 27-year-old Carpentersville man, was not injured.

Authorities are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting to call Illinois State Police at 630-241-6800 and callers can remain anonymous, according to Illinois State Police.
