Coroner IDs Crystal Lake Man, LITH Woman Killed In Algonquin Bypass Crash
The crash happened Sunday evening on the Algonquin Bypass north of Route 62.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The McHenry County Coroner has identified the two people killed Sunday evening in a motorcycle crash on the Algonquin Bypass. The driver of the BMW motorcycle, David A. Erickson, 59, of Crystal Lake, and a passenger on the motorcycle, Tiffany G. Eisner, 43, of Lake in the Hills, were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, McHenry County Coroner Anne Majewski said Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred at about 5:07 p.m. when a motorcycle traveling north on the entrance ramp to Route 31 from Algonquin Road struck a raised median and traveled into the southbound lanes, according to authorities. The motorcycle then struck a light pole on the west side of the roadway.
Autopsies are expected to be performed Tuesday morning on both crash victims.

The crash remains under investigation by the Algonquin Police Department and the Kane County Accident Reconstruction Team.
The Algonquin Bypass was closed in both directions following the crash, according to village officials.
