21 Citations Issued During LITH St. Paddy's Day Traffic Detail
The special holiday traffic campaign ran from March 10 to March 19.
LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The results are in from the Lake in the Hills Police Department St. Patrick's Day enforcement campaign.
Authorities say they issued citations to 21 motorists during the holiday campaign, which ran from March 10 to March 19, according to a news release from the village of Lake in the Hills. In total, 19 citations were issued for speeding and two were issued for operating an uninsured vehicle.
Authorities say they did not pull anyone over for drunken driving or impaired driving during the traffic campaign.

The St. Patrick’s Day enforcement campaign was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The department’s next traffic safety campaign will be during the month of April for distracted driving awareness month.
