69 Pulled Over During LITH Speed Awareness Campaign

The Lake in the Hills Police Department increased its enforcement efforts between July 17 and 27.

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The Lake in the Hills Police Department pulled over 69 vehicles during a recent speed awareness campaign in town, authorities said. The local police department conducted additional patrols between July 17 and 27 and cited or arrested people for the following violations:

  • 1 driving while suspended arrest
  • 57 speeding citations
  • 4 seat belt citations
  • 8 uninsured motorist citations
  • 1 disobeying a traffic control signal citation

The mobilization was funded by federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
