6th DUI Lands Man 7 Years In Prison

LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — A Schaumburg man convicted in an aggravated drunken driving case has been sentenced to seven years in prison.

Donald Vucic was arrested by Lake in the Hills police on Dec. 26, 2021, following a single-vehicle crash. Police say Vucic drove into a parked car, a trash can and a stop sign, according to a news release from the McHenry County State's Attorney's Office.

Authorities determined Vucic was legally blind at the time and had "quite a bit" to drink that night.

At the time of his Lake in the Hills arrest, he had five prior driving under the influence of alcohol violations and his driver's license was revoked, police said.
