Algonquin Blotter: DUI, Drug Charges; Domestic Battery

A look at arrests made by the Algonquin Police Department in recent weeks.

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Algonquin Police Department made the following arrests in recent days:

  • Jessica A. Schulz, 37, of Cary, was arrested in Barrington at 2:55 a.m. on Sept. 20. She was charged with four counts of domestic battery and transported to the McHenry County Jail.
  • James Y. Kim, 37, of the 900 block of Valewood Road in Bartlett, was arrested at about 11:21 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Timberland Lane and Cumberland Parkway. Kim is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance, DUI/drugs, failure to reduce speed, driving while license revoked and obstruction of justice. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail.
  • Flor Silva, 20, of the 0 to 100 block of Park Avenue in Cary, was pulled over at Main Street and Cary-Algonquin Road at 9:35 p.m. on Sept. 15 and is charged with no valid driver's license and improper turn. She was released with a court date in McHenry County.
  • Nicholas J. Wanker, 21, of the 1700 block of Kensington Lane in Crystal Lake, was pulled over at 4:25 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Randall Road and Grandview Court. He was charged with speeding and released after authorities issued him a notice to appear in McHenry County.
  • Jacob A. Emiliano, 18, of the 300 block of Ramble Road in Lake in the Hills, was pulled over at Bunker Hill Drive and Saratoga Circle at 5:07 p.m. n Sept. 13. He is charged with reckless driving, no valid driver's license and disregard a stop sign. He was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County.
  • Russell W. Scutowski, 67, of Spooner, Wisconsin, was pulled over at 10:18 p.m. on Sept. 13 at Stonegate Road and White Oak Lane and was charged with driving while license suspended. He was released with a notice to appear in McHenry County.
  • Rodney W. Carroll, 34, of Algonquin, was arrested at 11:21 p.m. on Sept. 12 at County Line Road and Millbrook Drive. He is charged with four counts of domestic battery and transported to the McHenry County Jail.
