Jager, who is currently has earned a trip back to the Olympics and is hoping to make it to the medal stand in Rio. Vicki Frantz, marketing director for Buffalo Wild Wings, said the Buffalo Wild Wings at 461 S. Randall Road, will open at 8 a.m. on Aug. 15, which is three hours before the restaurant typically opens. Everyone is invited to stop out, she said. Buffalo Wild Wings will be serving food and drinks off its menu.
The Jacobs High School track team has been invited, as has Evan’s former coach, but Frantz said it’s unclear at this point how many, and who, will all be able to make it to the watch party.
BWW hosted a similar watch party in 2012 and a crowd of nearly 300 people packed the restaurant. In a video posted on Patch at the time, the crowd could be heard shouting in unison, “Congratulations Evan. Algonquin loves you.”
