Algonquin Home Damaged In Fire
The home in the 900 block of Applewood Lane in Algonquin was undergoing a renovation project, fire officials said.
ALGONQUIN, IL — A fire broke out Wednesday night at an Algonquin home that is being renovated, fire officials said. The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was called to the blaze at the two-story, single-family home in the 900 block of Applewood Lane in Algonquin at 10:23 p.m., according to a news release from the fire protection district.
Fire crews first at the scene found a heavy fire coming from the rear exterior of the home. There was no inside the home at the time of the blaze and no one was injured, according to the news release.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and a damage estimate is not yet available.
