Algonquin Libraries To Reopen Next Week

ALGONQUIN, IL — The Algonquin Public Library will be reopening its door to the public on Feb. 8. The local library closed amid a spike in COVID-19 cases, but as the positivity rate continues to tick down in the area, both the Harnish Main Library and the town's Eastgate Branch will once again welcome patrons inside its buildings.

Drive-thru and curbside services will also continue to be available. Here is a look at the hours of operation for the libraries once they reopen on Feb. 8:

Harnish Main Library-hours of operation for main building:

• Monday to Thursday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday to Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed

Harnish Main Library-drive-thru hours

• Monday to Thursday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed

Eastgate Branch - building hours

• Monday through Thursday: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
• Friday and Saturday: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Sunday: Closed
