The Algonquin Library is "Wild About Reading" This Summer

Algonquin Area Public Library District (AAPLD) staff want you to have a great summer and get "Wild About Reading!" The AAPLD Summer Reading

AAPLD cardholders of all ages are invited to explore the rain forest and earn prizes just for reading, attending Library events, and having fun.

Adults can register for “Wild About Reading” in person and pick up a passport and water bottle. Passports can be completed by choosing any 6 of 10 activities, such as reading a book or attending Library events. Completed passports must turned in by July 31 to receive a coupon for a free Kona Ice during the August 1 End-of-Summer-Reading Party. The first 250 adult finishers receive a T-shirt; all finishers will be entered in drawings for a Kindle Fire, $100 Algonquin Commons gift card, and more.

High school students can register in person with their AAPLD card to get their passport and water bottle. Students who complete a page in their passport and bring it to either Library location by July 31 get a stamp and a prize. The first stamp earns students a paperback book and an entry into the Grand Prize Drawing for a $100 Target gift card or one of two 7" Kindle Fires! Get more stamps and win more prizes: visit ya.aapld.org/SummerReading2016 for more information.
