Algonquin Man Accused Of Leaving Scene Of Crash
Authorities say the local man did not to stop to provide aid to a person injured in the 3-vehicle collision on I-90 Monday.

COOK COUNTY, IL — A 55-year-old Algonquin man faces is accused of leaving the scene of a collision he caused Monday on I-90 and not helping another driver that was injured, police said Friday.
Adiel Jaime faces charges of leaving the scene if a personal injury crash, failure to give Information and improper lane usage in connection with the Monday afternoon collision on Interstate 90 at milepost 66.
Authorities say Jaime was driving a blue Chevrolet Silverado west on I-90 at about 4:15 p.m. Monday when he made an improper lane change and pulled in front of a white Ford, according to an Illinois State Police news release.

The Ford struck the back of the Chevrolet and then hit a silver Ford. The driver of the white Ford was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash,
Authorities say Jaime did not stop to provide aid or information and left the scene.

Troopers reviewed dash camera video footage from the crash, and were able to identify the blue Silverado's license plate information. They conducted a follow-up investigation and took Jamie into custody.
He has since been released from jail after posting 10 percent of his $1,000 bail.
