Algonquin National Night Out To Bring Families, First Responders Together

ALGONQUIN, IL — Algonquin residents are invited to celebrate National Night Out with an evening of family fun, community connections and public safety activities Tuesday, Aug. 5.

The free event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. at Historic Village Hall, 2 S. Main St., and will bring together residents, the Algonquin Police Department, Public Works and the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Department, according to the village of Algonquin. Families can meet local police officers and firefighters, explore emergency vehicles, enjoy live entertainment, participate in activities and collect giveaways throughout the evening.

Pizza from Bella’s Wood Fire Pizza will be available for purchase, and the event is supported by local sponsors including the Algonquin Area Public Library District, Heather Rasek Homes, Hurley & Volk Orthodontics, Expert Roofing-Joe Mac and Rush Physical Therapy, according to village officials.
