Algonquin Native to Appear Monday in Episode Two of 'The Bachelor'
The ABC reality TV show will air at 7 p.m. on Monday.

An Algonquin native will be continuing on in this season’s “The Bachelor” after receiving a rose during episode one of the ABC reality TV show.
Trina Scherenberg, 33, a former special education teacher at Crystal Lake South, watched the first episode with family and friends at Nero’s Pizza & Pub in Algonquin last Monday, the Northwest Herald reports.

Scherenberg is among 22 other bachelorette contestants that will be vying for a rose from Chris, a “stylish farmer from Iowa,” during episode two of the show, which airs at 7 p.m. Monday.

Another local woman, Amanda Goerlitz, 24, of Lake in the Hills, did not receive a rose during episode one and will not be continuing on in the show. Goerlitz teaches ballet at Judith Svalander School of Ballet in Crystal Lake, according to the Northwest Herald.
