Algonquin Police Blotter: Retail Theft, Criminal Damage to Property

December 3, 2010

• A 16-year-old male from Lake in the Hills was charged with battery.  He was arrested at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive.  He was formally Petitioned into Juvenile Court and then released to a guardian.

• A 17-year-old male from Algonquin was charged with criminal damage to property. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents.

• A 17-year-old male from Lake in the Hills was charged with criminal damage to property. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents.

December 4, 2010

• Laura L. Walker, 46, of the 200 block of North River Road, Algonquin, was charged with domestic battery and aggravated assault. She was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

• Jose M. Delgado, 41, of the 200 block of Locust Street, Elgin, was charged with retail theft.  He was arrested at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road.  He was released after posting $150 and has a court date of Jan. 5, 2011 in McHenry County.

• Samantha R. Shellhamer, 22, of the 3600 block of Roanoke Avenue, Carpentersville, was charged with driving while license suspended and failure to notify Secretary of State of change of address.  She has a court date of Jan. 5, 2011 in McHenry County.

• Zuleyma Sanchez, 18, of Fir Street, Carpentersville and Anaiz Garcia, 19, of the 900 block of Cortney Drive, Carpentersville were both charged with retail theft and possession of alcohol by a minor.  Both females were arrested at Meijer, 400 S. Randall Road.  Both have a court date of Jan. 26, 2011 in Algonquin.

December 5, 2010

• Marzena J. Beczkiewicz, 30, of the 600 block of River Bluff Drive, Carpentersville, was charged with retail theft.  She was arrested at TJ Maxx, 832 S. Randall Road.  She was released after posting $150 and has a court date of Jan. 5, 2011 in McHenry County.

• Marla C. Owens, 34, of the 1100 block of Cherry Street, Lake in the Hills, was charged with DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no proof of insurance and failure to notify Secretary of State change of address.  She was arrested at Route 31 and Huntington Drive.  She was released after posting $300 and has a court date of Jan. 12, 2011 in McHenry County.
