Authorities ID Jogger Who Suffered Medical Episode
Authorities in Algonquin were initially unable to figure out who the man was following the Saturday evening incident.
ALGONQUIN, IL — Authorities in Algonquin have identified the jogger who suffered a medical episode in the 100 block of South Oakleaf Drive Saturday evening.
The Algonquin Police Department requested help from the public in identifying the man who was "unable to provide information" regarding who he was after emergency crews found him suffered a medical episode on a sidewalk at about 7:40 p.m. Saturday. The man, who was between 60 and 70 years old, was brought to a local hospital after emergency crews gave him medical treatment at the scene.
As of Tuesday morning, the jogger has been identified and authorities are working to notify his relatives and let them know about his condition and whereabouts.

"The Algonquin Police Department would like to thank everyone who provided tips and
assistance during our attempt to identify the jogger," authorities said in a Tuesday news release.
