Algonquin Road to Get New Gas Station
The Lake in the Hills Village Board of Trustees recently approved a conditional use permit for the Speedway gas station.

Plans are moving forward for a new Speedway gas station to be built at 2700 W. Algonquin Road in a 2.4-acre lot that is currently made up of farmland.
The Lake in the Hills Village Board of Trustees approved a conditional use permit for the new gas station during a meeting last month, the Northwest Herald reports. The board had already approved the plan in February 2015, but since zoning approvals expired before the gas station could be built, the plans needed to come before village officials again.
Construction is expected to start this spring on the new gas station, which will include a 4,600-square-foot convenience store and 20 gasoline dispensers, according to the Northwest Herald.
