Fire: Townhomes, Vehicles Damaged in Algonquin

Fire broke out at home in the 2900 block of Talaga Drive at 10 p.m. Monday.

Two townhomes and two vehicles were damaged during a Monday night fire in the 2900 block of Talaga Drive, Algonquin, the Northwest Herald reports.

Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was called to the first two-story townhome at 10 p.m. April 8, the story stated. Flames had spread to the garage, roof, and two cars in the driveway. The fire also spread to the outside of the adjoining town house. No injuries were reported, the NWH reports.

The owner of the neighboring unit that was damaged by the fire said she was preparing to place the townhome on the market. Just last week, she gave most of her furniture to her neice so her home was mostly empty, she said.
