MCHENRY COUNTY, IL — A Marengo woman is facing multiple charges after authorities say she led police on a high-speed chase through Wauconda and Cary, reaching speeds of more than 100 mph.
Margaret Rohr, 29, fled from a Wauconda police officer during the early morning hours of April 22, running stop signs and a traffic signal during the pursuit. Prosecutors said after her arrest, Rohr allegedly told officers she thought the chase was "fun" and asked whether they were "impressed," according to Lake & McHenry County Scanner.
She is charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding police and other offenses stemming from the incident. Rohr remains in custody pending further court proceedings, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.
