Man, 40, Seriously Injured When Tree Falls On Him: Fire Officials

The incident happened Wednesday morning in the 900 block of Harper Drive in Algonquin, fire officials said.

ALGONQUIN, IL — A 40-year-old man was flown to the hospital Wednesday after a tree he was working to cut down fell on him, fire officials said.

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was called to the 900 block of Harper Drive at about 10:45 a.m. on Wednesday for the reported incident, according to the fire district. When they arrived, they found the man on the ground with serious injuries.

The man was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and then airlifted to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

His current condition is not known, officials said.
