Man Flown To Hospital After ATV Crash

A 47-year-old was found unconscious in roadway Sunday afternoon; police said no one else was involved.

HUNTLEY, IL — A 47-year-old Huntley man was flown to a Libertyville trauma center in serious condition after he was found unconscious in the roadway following an ATV crash Sunday afternoon.

Huntley police and fire crews responded around 4:25 p.m. to the 11200 block of Myrtle Street for a report of an unconscious person and found the man lying in the roadway with an ATV nearby. Investigators determined no one else was involved in the crash, and police said it does not appear the ATV struck anything, according to the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.

It remains unclear whether speed or intoxication played a role, and the crash remains under investigation.
