LAKE IN THE HILLS, IL — The iconic Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is coming to Lake in the Hills next week as part of its 90th birthday celebration.
The Wienermobile will make an appearance at the Lake in the Hills Summer Sunset Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 6, at 5200 Miller Road. Visitors will have the chance to see the famous Wienermobile, connect with its Hotdoggers and potentially take a tour of the vehicle as it travels through the Chicago area, according to a news release.
The Lake in the Hills stop is one of several Wienermobile appearances scheduled around the region, including stops in Bridgeview, Burbank, Elmhurst, Schaumburg, Chicago, New Lenox, Park Ridge and Winfield.
The Wienermobile was introduced in 1936 and is celebrating its 90th birthday this year. Oscar Mayer's Hotdoggers Ketchup Kampbell and Lunchmeat Luke will be traveling with the vehicle during the Chicago-area appearances.
